Our COVID-19 Policy

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Each person’s responsibility for everyone’s safety

Hand hygiene: Please sanitize your hands when entering the building and observe good hand hygiene while in the building, particularly following restroom use.

Masks: Masks covering the entire nose and mouth are to be worn by everyone over 2 years of age at all times in the building and on church property. There are no exceptions to this policy. If wearing a mask covering the nose and mouth presents a difficulty for any reason, it is best to attend the service online until the guidelines are lifted.

Social distancing: Social distancing (defined as remaining 6 feet away from everyone other than immediate family—those living in the same household) is to be observed at all times. Every effort should be made to remain at a distance from others.

Personal contact: There should be no personal contact (handshaking, hugs, kisses etc.) with others. We will
observe the peace without contact at this time.

Illness: Anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 including fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea should not attend.

Anyone who has been in close contact with a person who has symptoms of COVID-19 within the past 14 days should not attend.

Anyone who is diagnosed with COVID-19 within 14 days of last attendance must notify the parish office at 718-351-0900 immediately.

Anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 should not return unless you have been tested and received a negative result.

Doing our part for everyone’s safety

Air Filtration: UV light air-purifying systems and higher rated HEPA filters have been installed in our furnace system.

Cleaning: Increased cleaning is provided between worship services.

Communion: Clergy wash and sanitize hands before and after distributing communion. Everyone’s hands are sanitized before receiving communion.
